Restaurants in Nice, France

We will be in Nice on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 2-4. We have not been in Nice for many years. Could someone recommend a few good restaurants, circa 100+ euros for two? We are senior citizens. Thanks.

La Maison de Marie is very good - lots of locals even tho it is a touristy area. Lovely outdoor courtyard dining area. Not sure your bill will come to 100E - I suppose it depends on winve selection.

I had a dinner at La Maison de Marie last year. While it is in the touristy area, it is off the main street, so unless you know where it is, you could easily walk by it. I just stopped by in the afternoon for a dinner reservation in the courtyard. The place was packed at dinner time in September. Unless you choose an expensive wine, the bill would unlikely to exceed 100€ for two.

We like L'Ecurie, at 4, rue du Marché in Vieux Nice. Also good: La Voglia, right at the edge of the Cours Saléya--fine Italian food, big servings.

If you like seafood, head to the Café de Turin, a local favorite.

Tavern Messena(I believe it is on the walking street with stores and restaurants called Rue Messena?) I went there 15 years ago and had a meal to remember. My daughter went back again a few months ago and reported that it is still wonderful!

Wood ovens for pizza and great pasta/seafood for a reasonable price-good house wine too.The two meals that we had there 15 years ago have been remembered fondly-others that I have run into who have eaten there concur.

I also like La Maison de Marie, but my favorite is Le Petit Maison.
