Restaurant in Budapest

I am looking for a restaurant with good food and nice ambience near the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Budapest. Any suggestions? Please reply to [email protected]. Thanks.

I recommend a restaurant called Dio near the St. Stephen's Basilica.

I don't know of any restaurants near the Ramada. However if you are up in the Castle District,I reccommend Cafe Pierrot.Had dinner twice here last Sept and both meals were very good, esp the duck.

Just back from Budapest. It really depends on what you're looking for as there are a great number of good restaurants in Budapest.

In addition to Dio that peggionthego recommends, right next door is Mokka. It's an interesting mix of mediterranean/indian/arabic food. We loved the tapas and the atmosphere here. There's also another place nearby called White Heaven that we didn't get to try, but it looked very interesting.

For more traditional upscale dining, Busulo Juhasz up near the citadel has wonderful views and an outdoor terrace in the summer. There's also a great website for the Budapest dining scene:

Have a great trip!

I think one of the best meals I've had anywhere in the world was at Tom George right behind the Four Seasons. Neat atmosphere and food to die for.
