Renting a Short Term Apartment in Berlin

n May, I will be traveling to Berlin with my parents and sister for about 5-7 days. I want to stay in a nice 3-bedrrom apartment, condo, pensione, or bed and breakfast. I am interested in staying in a place overlooking Tiergarten in Mitte. Your help here is deeply appreciated. If you have URLs, I would greatly appreciate that, too. Cheers

shwunchin,

I am not sure whether this is what you want (as it comes at a price) and I do not know whether they have 3- bedroom suites, but: Madison offers Appartments in two prime locations of Berlin: one of their properties is right on Potsdamer Platz (close to Tiergarten) and the other one right on Friedrichstr., not too far from Tiergarten and right in the middle of Berlin's new (and old ) center and the restaurants, nightlife etc.
The webpage (which is available in English) is:

Enjoy your stay

HSV: Thanks very much. I have emailed the Madison for information. Have you stayed there? If so, any comments? Also, for the rest of you reading this email, please provide recommendations and/or suggestions.

shwunchin,

I have not stayed there, unfortunately. In Berlin I have stayed across the street from the Madison on Potsdamer Platz at the Grand Hyatt, so I can only comment on the location, but not on the Madison itself.
There is a Madison in Hamburg, where a former collegue of mine stayed for 2 months or so (on business expense). He enjoyed it tremendously. The concept is the same, I do not know, however, if they are related.
I have seen the Berlin Hotels offered on Germany's most upscale tour operator called airtours (not to be confused with the British travel company of the same name). They usually feature only high- class properties which are basically cream of the crop in the respective cities.
What also might be favorable for the Berlin Madisons is that the Potsdamer Platz property features one of Berlin's best restaurants: "Facil".

Sorry, cannot be of anymore help.

Please note that in another current thread about Berlin Hotels a poster called KarenE declares the Madisons as pleasant! Suppose she might have some first hand experience.
