Frequently, www.autoeurope.com is the only shopping you need to do. Nevertheless, I typically comparison shop

www.its-cars-hotels.com
www.kemwel.com

and

www .travelocity.com

just to check.

You WILL be required to purchase all the supplemental insurance which you need.

Best wishes,

Rex
Rose, Rex has the right idea. Auto Europe was the best for us also, & I checked about all the places.
Not being at home for the winter, I can't say for sure, but there are two excellent sites for making maps, mileages, & specific driving instructions. One is Shell Oil, the other is Michelin Ken L

We had terrific luck with www.rentacar-worldwide.com/. Got a steal on an automatic and were able to drop off in Southern Italy (Sorrento) with no penalty. Most car rental companies we checked penalized you for driving in Southern Italy or didn't have drop off points there.
