Because if you don't register, eventually you won't be able to post clever questions like that.

I registered right away and just got notice of my gift -- two first class tickets to Rome and a week at a villa in Tuscany.

(Just kidding, folks). But without our addresses what can they send us?

My Yahoo addresses ARE my "real" e-mail addresses. The e-mail that comes with my ISP is unreliable and vulnerable to viruses and I never use it.

<<Trolls will just make up different screen names with invalid e-mail addresses attached to them.>>

"Abusive posting will surely result in Fodors invalidating that person's registration."

How was that abusive? It is just an opinion. Someone's a bit sensitive.
So disappointed - I can't register with the screen name I use because it has already been taken. Darn it - I'll need a new name.

o no, it's "in like Flynn" - coined about the actor Errol Flynn after he committed stautory rape. Brush up on your history!

Well, now I'll change from being an anonymous helper, to an anonymous lurker. I don't like to register and will likely stop providing what (sometimes) was decent advice. When the other board I followed changed to registration, it dramatically decreased participation. I don't know if this means the end to Fodors, but it is the end of Fodors as we know it. I suspect the board will become less entertaining and more serious which, for some, is good. I, for one, will miss the trolls.....

Belinda,

The things that I have posted here are things that I have said to family and friends about travel. They have never insulted me. I know that I am not the only one that has been needlessly insulted here.
Ok, are we on the same page? I looked everywhere, and I don't see any registration page. I'm still able to post, so what are you people talking about?

I thought "In like Flynn" referred toi the way Errol would make an entrance -- kind of the way Kramer did on Seinfeld.
