red rose B&B or Soggirno Comfort in Rome

Hi, I am trying to decide between the above two B&B in Rome. Don't seem to be the best choice but many of the preferred places I looked ino are already sold out for late June/early July. Want to know any personal experience with this hotel. Any additional recommendation less than 150 euro per night will also be appreciated. Thank you

I stayed at the Red Rose 2 weeks ago. The room was comfortable but the shared bath was down the hall. In the shower the water would go from hot to cool and back to hot again. I was unimpressed with the breakfast and just had coffee. But I paid 50 euro for a single.
Some friends stayed at Soggiorno Comfort also 2 weeks ago. They were very happy with the accomodation and the location although they did not say specifically why. They must have liked it well enough since it was a return visit for them. They paid 130 euro for a double.

You might also try this place. I stayed there as well and liked it very much. The plumbing is great!

I stayed at Patty's rooms...a very nice place with good bus conections and at a very good price for the quality of the place...we payed 65 Euros for a double which included a continental breakfast! And the couple running it are a young charming couple which wnt out of their way to make our stay pleasant. I would recommend: www.pattysrooms.com

I stayed at the Red Rose in 2003. I was satisfied with the room and the price (powerful AC was sweet), but the neighborhood was a little frightening.

ahotpoet - Did Nova Bethlem have a curfew? I've looked at it in the past but was hesitant because I assumed they had a curfew.

Check out Hotel Julia, we stayed there in Oct, small room with priviate bath and the breakfast was great. We paid 140E for two. It is located in a very nice neighborhood near Trevi Fountain, easy walking to most tourist spots.
