Recommendations in Paris 9th?

We are visiting Paris in May, staying in the 9th on Rue de Rochechouart near Rue de Maubeuge and would love some recommendations for restaurants and wine bars in the area. Not really interested in Michelin starred restaurants, but instead places with meals 50E pp or less. Thanks!

You might want to try Chez Casimir on rue de Belzunce, right behind the church St. Vincent de Paul, although it is technically in the 10th arrondissement.

In any case, you will almost certainly find yourself outside of the 9th arrondissement more often than within its boundaries.

Hello (from Paris),

To eat, you may try "TOUS" (everybody) restaurant @6 rue Lamartine close to your hotel. http://www.restaurant-tous.com/en/?utm_source=Direct
> I think you might book a table...

To drink, the "Milton" Bar @46 rue Lamartine (again !)

You may find a lot of pleasant places in the 9th & 10 arr. of Paris.
Enjoy your stay & don't hesitate if you have any questions

Papacionu for Corsican pizza!

And a good wine bar - Le Bouclier de Bacchus

I also like Le Bat for something a little more fusion-ey.

That's really more towards the 10th arr, so the 9th isn't necessarily better than the 10th or maybe even the 2nd to the South (which is probably closer than the area west of rue de Clichy, for example). I stay in the 9th now and again, but always in the area around Trinite or St Georges metro.

So I don't know restaurants around Cadet metro stop too much (near where you will be), but I often eat Indian in that area, I like Kastoori at place Toudouze. Across the street is a more typical French bistro but "modern cuisine" that is pretty good (Les Affranchis), but I think it's a bit overpriced because the chef/owner is a minor name, I guess. It's been well-reviewed, in other words, in Figaro, etc. But I think the "menu" for dinner is less than 50 euro. Decor is simple. It's on rue Henri Monnier.

Next (or opposite) to Casimir : l'assiette gourmande, best profiterolles ever.
They are fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. The greatest profiterolles you'll ever eat. Trust me, for profiterolles, this is France first. France first.

Bourgogne sud 14 rue de clichy : not expensive, gigantic portions and great meat.

Yumiko rue Clauzel : good sushis.

I like Le Grand Comptoir Anvers at Square Anvers, especially on Wednesday nights when they have live jazz. Great staff and very good food. Head further along Av Trudaine and you will find Le Clou, another favorite. So-Pi is a popular spot for the surge in new cocktail revolution. Check out LuLu White on Tuesday's for more live jazz.
