What's the name of that Paris restaurant?!!
Last year I had a delicious, very reasonably-priced prix-fixe lunch at a pretty well-known restaurant on the Ile St Louis in Paris. I know it has been recommended by folks in this forum, so I am hoping someone can place it and tell me the name! The only distinctive thing I remember about it was that there were fashion photos placed around the dining room - ring a bell for anyone? I am going back in April and definitely want to eat there again! Thanks!

There are two places that come to mind for me...
1. Au Gourmet de L'Isle - If this is the place skip it, the food is horrid. I also heard that the Zagat rating may be inaccurate. (42 rue St-Louis en L'Ile)
Here is my review from a recent trip...

2. Le Caveau de l'Isle, 36 rue Saint Louis en I'Isle, 75004 Paris. Tel 01 43 25 10 26

Now I really loved this place. Great service, creative food and warm atmosphere.

Thanks to all who have tried...I looked at a few descriptions of the Gourmet and Caveau de L'Isle, but I don't think those are it. And l'Auberge de la RB sounds great - I plan to eat there! - but I don't think that's it either. I wish I could remember more about it, but I just remember that it was remarkably cheap, and super yummy for lunch, and there were framed photos of runway models in beautiful, exotic costumes dotted around the place. Any more ideas? There's such an abundance of great places in Paris it wouldn't be the worst thing if I couldn't find it again...but it's always nice to return to a place you like, especially when it's affordable!
P.S. Your point is well-taken, ira!

The Good news is that the street is not very long and you can walk down it and find the restaurant and book it in person or just walk in!
and if that was not the right one, you can go to another
My dreams of being a Food Critic are still alive after our trip..

I was in Paris February 23-28 and ate at Brasserie I'sle St. Louis. That is definitely not the restaurant you are looking for. I would recommend it. Richardab, the Au Gourmet de L'Isle is now name Le Fin Gourmet. I had a bad dining experience there a few years back. I wonder if the new place is any different. It was empty the night we walked by on the way back to the apartment we stayed in.
