?rci timeshare resorts on the Costa del Sol

I am planning a future trip using a RCI timeshare exchange. Last summer I stayed at the Puento Romano in Marbella and enjoyed it very much. Some of the resorts listed in RCI that looked interesting are: Marbesa Club, Club Playa Real, San Diego Suites(California Beach Resort), Leila Playa Club, Villacana Club, Los Amigos Beach Club-Playamarina, Club LaCosta at Marina Dorado, El Capistrano Village-Nerja. Has anyone stayed at any of these resorts or can recommend another RCI resort? I would prefer a Gold Crown property. Also, there are some resorts in Mijas and Nerja. How far away from Marbella are they? Are Mijas and Nerja nice places to stay? I would appreciate any help in planning this trip. Thank you

We stayed at Club la Costa Marina de Sol on a RCI exchange. You do not need private transport from there as the bus stop is nearby. We went to Mijas several times but did not stay there, although it looked quite nice. Nice little shops to explore. Nerja is also very beautiful and worth a visit, especially the waterfront. I don't think you can go wrong in any of those resorts.

Puente Romano is one of the premier resorts along this coast. I'm not familiar with the others listed - but I would not expect that all of them are in the same class.

Bonnieg, I have booked a timeshare through Interval and RCI at the Matchroom Club (a Heritage Resort) in Mijas. I am only going in June, but would be happy to share thoughts on my return. We will be renting a car to do some touring, and from what I understand, Mijas is only 30 km from Malaga, and fairly accessible to most of the coast. I hope I am not misinformed!

Hi ...

My parents own a week in the barratts timeshare in Mijas .... it is very nice .... excellent views of the coast.

Mijas is quieter than the coast, but it takes about 15 minutes to get to the coast.

Would recommend.

I believe Barratts is a Gold Crown ...

Does anyone have info on Heritage Resorts Club- Playa Real in Marbella ? It is an RCI timeshare. Is it in a safe area and what is the beach like there? Thanks.

You might check out tugs2.net for more information. We've stayed at the Marriott Marbella Resort 2 times and it's fantastic, but it's an II resort, not sure if it's in RCI as well.
