Radisson Hotels in London
Has anyone stayed at any of the Radisson hotels in London? Did you like it, was the room a relatively reasonable size (for a London hotel), etc.? I work for the corporate offices and can stay at any of them for a relatively low cost - don't really have a preference on location aswe have stayed in several different areas previously. Thanks for your input.

I just recently stayed at the Radisson Hampshire. All I can say is WOW!!!!! It was so awesome, first class all the way. There were three of us in the room and one bed, and we still were able to sleep comfortably. The room size was quite sufficient and the decor was outstanding. I was originally supposed to stay at the Pastoria, but they were sold out so they moved us next door to the Hampshire, what luck I had. I didn't pay for the room as I used look to book points (im a travel agent), so this was really quite a deal for me. I did take a picture of our room which if you write to my email I can scan and send to you.

Gidge,
I have not stayed at any of them, but I have been by the Portmann (not sure of the spelling) and it looks intriguing from the outside, at least! If you do stay in one, please let us know how it was - I am always looking for more hotels to add to our list of places to stay the next time.

I've stayed at the Portman and it's a very nice hotel. Breakfast was wonderful, and the room was very nicely appointed. Actually, it was a larger room than I'd expected but I don't have much experince with London hotels to compare.

One thing maybe worth mention . . . the Portman isn't far from the Sherlock Holmes' museum on Baker street. I walked from the Portman and couldn't help but notice all of the advertisements for, uh, er, adult professional entertainment of the sexual variety. Im not sure if that's indicative of the area specifically or London generally.

The concierge at the Portman was incredible . . . he worked a miracle getting me into the Connaught for dinner on virtually no notice, had a suit jacket repaired AT NO COST TO ME that I tore on a sharp corner of the desk in my room and had a friend of his let me into Albert Hall to look around when nothing was going on there.
I am not familiar with the Country Inns in Kensington, but I would NOT recommend the one in Bloomsbury. When we were there, the staff was very rude and our room (supposedly a studio suite) was tiny, even by London standards. Have also stayed at the Radisson Kennilworth - nice, but average. Rooms were good sized.

We stayed at the Kenilworth in May.

We complained about the room size. It required innovative unpacking. No room for our 2 empty suitcases. We put them in the leg area under the desk. It was easier to jump over the chair.

They offered to change our room but by then we just didn't have the time or energy. We were only in London for 3 days.

The location is just a bit off.

Breakfast was fantastic. Service was fine.
