Grandmere. News about just any airline taking a chance on Pittsburgh is good news as far as I am concerned.
Getting out of Pittsburgh by way of Frankfurt would open up a lot for us with the low cost carriers.
In fact, in June I was scheduled on a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Klagenfurt but the flight was actually operated by Tyrolean airlines. It was a new 70 or so seater jet.
And Frankfurt was not so bad as long as you allow enough time to get from one terminal to another.
We may even luck out. Lufthansa is a star alliance member and our miles may be redeemable on them.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.
I still have 75,000 miles to redeem but just cannot use them just now. So I will be right up there with you going on as if they will be here a while longer.
