public lockers

Hi, does anyone know if there are still public lockers in the Gare du Nord in Paris? I'm arriving from London well before my hotel check in time & will need to stash my luggage. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi F,

It is highly likely that your hotel will hold your luggage for you until your room is ready. Ask them.

Gare du Nord has a left luggage office.

Unless you mean at least a day in advance, I would never stash my luggage in a locker just because I arrived before check-in time. I always go to the hotel no matter what time of day, and often a room may be ready anyway because a lot of people check out very early to catch flights. Even if a room isn't ready, I've never had a hotel refuse to keep my bag until I could check in.

There are 3 sizes of lockers at Gare du Nord. The rates for 24 hours are 4 €, 7 € or 9.50 €.

The lockers are open from 6h15 to 23h15. X-ray screening.

Go to the hotel... if they're good, they will put your bag in your room as soon as it's ready.

Definitely the hotel. A polite greeting, a smile, a nod, you're good.

If you decided to use the left luggage at Gare du Nord, turn right at the end of platform when you disembark Eurostar. Then use an escalator/step going down. But then, you have to come back to GdN to retrieve the luggage.

So I agree it would make more sense to ask the hotel. I won't keep any valuable items in the luggage you're leaving, though.
