Thank you, Coco.
I'll also look forward to the Audry Tatou film playing Chanel and I was a big Françoise Sagan fan so that's another film to see.

I liked Francoise Sagan also,Mimi. She had a full but tragic life and was addicted to different drugs.I imagine that a film about her life would be interesting.

I enjoyed reading many, many years ago, Bonjour Tristess, the book that made her famous.

CC,

Thanks for the ~thumbs up~ on movie. I will certainly watch for it when it comes to our little ~foreign movie~ theatre here in town.

Francie

In love with magical Provence.

Coco avant Chanel</> starring Audrey Tautou is in post production and will be released some time in 2009, certainly not before mid-May -- they will be wanting to see if it is Cannes film festival material.

Kerouac, Did you see the Sagan film? it's playing there now. I read a so-so review. It will be shown on French TV in it's original 3 hour form. The film in theaters is slashed to two hours.

Hello Mimi(Cigalchante)!

Like her we can not travel to Provence this year. We did so for sixteen straight years up to this year and hope to return in 2009.

The movie "A Good Year" with Russell Crowe is set in Provence near Gordes. If you are a Provence-lover this movie is a must see.

Here's a preview of Sagan. What a great makeup job. In some scenes she really looks like Sagan. Panned or not, I want to see this. Read all her books.
