Anthony Bourdain in Provence

If you missed it, here it is.
I usually suggest first timers to stay in St Remy.
Most of this vidio is filmed there.
You'll see a favorite shop of mine that's next to Joel Durand's chocolate
shop. I never tire of watching this as I love Provence and the added bonus
is that Bourdain looks like my late husband.

Thanks for sharing this! Brings back some wonderful memories of Provence and our time in St. Remy. My biggest mistake on that trip was not bringing back more Joel Durand chocolates!!

Thanks Cigale! I just saw Tony Bourdain and Eric Ripert last night at the Hippodrome in Baltimore! They are both so freaking hot....sigh.

Joel Durand is such the rock star in St. Remy. I smile every time I think of visiting his shop as the gal who worked there stuffed me full of samples while chatting about the states. I actually had to tell her I didn't need any more samples. I love the cookie shop next door too.

Cigalechanta, thanks so much for this link. I'm in "anticipation mode" for our early July trip there, and this lovely segment certainly wets my appetite for the trip.

And on another note--I am sorry for your loss, cigalechanta.

Thanks, CC. Bourdain became better looking in middle age, IMHO. Know how much you miss your guy no matter his looks.

Will look at the clip when I have more time today.

I pray your late husband was a much less self-absorbed, arrogant, cynical SOB than Saint Anthony B.

LOL...Otzi, at friends' home yesterday for lunch, we were discussing this episode and they agreed he looks like Jerry and I pointed out he would never talk like AB. Suck is not in his vocabulary. Language was important to him and he hated vulgar words, never swore and hated trendy terms like me bad, just sayin,

What a wonderful video. Shouldn't have watched it right before lunch----whatever I have won't be as good as the food in France.
Merci!!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Tony Bourdain on several occasions while he was the chef at Les Halles in NYC.. While we aren't by any stretch close friends...we are acquaintances. He is a charming and delightful fellow.. a true gentleman and talented chef.

One further thing about AB. On camera, he puts on a arrogant, self absorbed persona. But in person, he is actually quite pleasant to talk to and be around..

Just my two cents..from someone who has met and chatted with AB about food..
