private Vatican tours
In 2008 we had an outstanding private tour of the Vatican via Italy with Us (Helen), today i phoned the number on her website but it is not in service. Anyone know of a great tour service for Vatican? We are going next week & being Easter all of the private tours directly through Vatican website are sold out. If nothing else we will do Night at Museum but that is limited to areas we have seen before.
any ideas would be great! thanks.

Last year we used Katie Parla and she was great. You can contact her via her website, www.katieparla.com

Randknew: Katie Parla (recommended above) works for Context - you'll pay less if you book directly with her. We hired her for a tour of Ancient Rome and Sara Magister (also with Context) for the Vatican. [email protected] Our trip isn't until May and I booked with them a couple of months ago - it may be tough booking now for Easter.
Hope you have a great trip.

There was an article in the January New York Times about touring with Helen - http://tinyurl.com/yznljfq
The contact info for her company is at the bottom of the article.
I hope you can get a tour booked!

Randknew!
I am interested in getting in touch with Chris that you mentioned giving private tours of the Vatican. The address doesn't work - http://www.sacrasorgente.blogspot.com- (I realize it was a couple of years ago but am hoping you still have a way to make contact! There are six ages 62 - 66 traveling to Rome and would like a small group tour. Any ideas?
