Private tour guides in Bayeux

Three of us will be spending 5 nights in Normandy, 3 in Bayeux and 2 in Honfleur. We would like a one day private tour of the D-day sites while we are staying in Bayeux. Any recommendations on tourguides?

I heartily recommend Roel Klinkhamer with Victory Tours.

There are many companies offering this service and most are easy to find in a google search, such as "private d-day tours bayeux" or a similar phrase you can enter into google. I've never done a tour but I've seen many people recommend Overlord Tours and Normandy Sightseeing Tours. You can also look at reply #6 from this similar post on Trip Advisor:

We used D-Day Historian - Paul Woodadge for 2 days for our guide last year and he is excellent!

Check out his website~http://www.ddayhistorian.com/

I was going to say I did use Normandy Sightseeing Tours and the guide was excellent, but I was in a small group tour. I know they do have private tour options, though, but can't give the name of a particular person.

Thanks for recommendations. Unfortunately most at this point are already booked. I'll check with Sean Clayton, as I hadn't come across his name. Another is a small group if we can find a small one.

I do not know how small you expect, both Overloard and NST limit tours to 8 people, you really can't expect much else, they couldn't stay in business if they limited group tours to only 4 people.

Check the Calvados tourist office website for their list of guides:
