Price of Taxis
Hi,
We will be traveling from the Florence train station to Hotel Brunelleschi. How much should a cab be? The hotel will arrange for a car to meet usfor 36EUR so I want to make sure we are not getting ripped off.

I don't know where your hotel is, but if memory serves me correctly, we paid about 15 euro from the airport to the Duomo (which is a much farther distance).
I would think this is a rip-off and that you could take a cab for much cheaper, or perhaps even walk the distance if you don't have a lot of luggage, since the train station is in town. That's what we did on our departure.

Your hotel is not far from the Duomo. A taxi will be less than 20 Euros and probably less than 15, unless you are delayed in traffic. There are plenty of cabs sitting outside the airport exit. Without traffic, the journey takes about 15 minutes. I don't see the need for a car.
