hallo all,
does anyone know about the "Irýs Hotel Old Town" in Praque, is it a nice hotel to stay in?
and do you have any suggestions: I want to spend 5 nights in Praque, I want to stay in downtown, in a walking distance to old city center, all recommendations will be highly appreciated,
thanx a lot

If you ask Google for In Your Pocket Prague then click on hotels, you will find good annotated lists of hotels and hostels.

I'll make my usual recommendation of the Hotel Kampa Island. It is an excellent value, newly refurbished and IMO a perfect location. The Trip Advisor reports are pretty acurate, especially the earliest one which is mine.

Sorry for the mistype - I meant to type Hotel Kampa Garden. It is located on Kampa Island which is a quiet oasis that is reached from the Charles Bridge - it is under it and continues for awhile. The Hotel is about 100 yards from the bridge and there are some very nice restaurants right on the Island's pedestrian square, a particular favorite being at 14 Kampa. Night views of the old town across the river are breathtaking as are the views in the other direction of the Castle.

Hello,
everybody are talking about hotels so I would like to share my experince and suggest another alternative. I always staing in apartments, it's usualy chaeper and much more confortable, if you son't mind to make your breakfast your self
Actualy it's pretty easy to get an apartment in big europiens cityes, and the apartments usually has the hotel standart. In Prague I used www.homesweethome.cz they have huge listing of flats in the city centre and all are very nice.
