Positano vs. Amalfi Coast

Which location would you recommend for 3 nights at the end of September?

Thanks!

Positano is on the Amalfi Coast.

Did you mean to say the city of Amalfi?

Suggest you get a decent map of Italy and a couple of guidebooks before planning your trip. Positano is one of the more popular small towns on the Amalfi Coast.

Yes, I mean to say the city of Amalfi. Thanks for the correction! I'm finding B&B's in both places. Why would you recommend Positano over the city of Amalfi?

Thank you!

Positano is the most spectacular town on the Amalfi Coast. Amalfi may feel/be less touristy, more authentic, but it can't compare in terms of raw beauty and incredible views.

I was in Positano in May and I loved it! Amalfi is a little more active and fun too. I prefer Positano.

Take a look at Onda Verde, near Priano, halfway between Amalfi and Positano. The Sita bus stops at the door.

Please note - these are not "cities". They are quite small towns cut into the side of the cliffs on the Amalfi coast and there are a ton of stairs getting up and down from hotels to road and vice versa. You may want to cosider the climb (can be hundreds of steps) when choosing.
