Portrait Suites or Inn at the Roman Forum Rome

We are trying to decide between these two boutique hotels in Rome. The Portrait Suites is about $100 more per night than the Inn at the Roman Forum.

Can anyone give ma any reviews of these hotels taking into account, location, service and room quality.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The people at www.tripadvisor.com seem to like both of them quite well.

The Inn at the Roman Forum is great, my husband and I spent 5 nights there in May. The rooms are lovely and location is great. The only problem is that most cabs/drivers do not know where it is or want to drive down the dead end road to get there. I would definitely stay here again when returning to Rome. If you have any specific questions just post them here.
Have a great time.

I just got back from Rome on Sunday and we stayed at the Portrait Suites. I haven't had the opportunity to put together a trip report yet but this hotel is simply amazing! Location could not be better and their staff is among the best I've ever encountered. Seriously, I sound like I'm gushing (which I am) because they fully deserve it!

Thanks to lots of walking we were able to check out the other hotels that we had considered, this was by far the best choice as far as location goes. It's very central to everything. You walk out their door, turn right and walk about 5 steps --turn left and you have an incredible view of the Spanish Steps! If you stay here, I'm sure you'll love it!

Have a great trip!!!

Did you end up staying at Portrait Suites, if so, what was it like?
