Please help with two Paris restaurants...I can't remember the names!
Two years ago when my husband and I were in Paris we ate at many wonderful restaurants - many which were recommended on this forum. I am getting ready
to make another trip to Paris and need help remembering the names of two.
#1. We were in the St Germaine area & the restaurant was just behind (toward the Seine) Cafe de Flore & Les Deux Magots. A beautiful restaurant, several steps down to the main seating area and I think Steak Tartar was a speciality.
#2. We had been shopping at Bon Marche and noticed several well dressed couples walking along the street and then turning into what looked like a pedestrian alley. We
followed and found that they were all going to lunch at a wonderful restaurant. Indoor & outdoor seating. Souffle (sweet & savory) were there speciality but I also had a wonderful
fish and salad.
I would really appreciate your help if you can give me the names of these two restaurants.

Hi Loveyblue:
For the souffle restaurant, are you thinking of La Cigale Récamier? It's located near Bon Marche at 4 rue Récamier, which is a little alley.
I can't find a website specifically for the restaurant, but it's mentioned everywhere, including zagat.com and here: http://www.hotels-paris-rive-gauche....taurant-paris/

I was suggesting the same place. I ate there years ago when it was Le Recamier and it's situated in a mews.

Parisecret, cingalechanta & Judy...
Thank you so very much. You all are the best. Le Recamier and Le Petit Zinc are the very restaurants that I was thinking of.
Judy, I will add Relais de l'Entrecote to my list of Paris restaurants as well (especially for my son who really loves steak and frites).
I am planning a trip for my two aunts (mid 5o's). A couple of years ago when they went to Paris I made reservations at Tailvent, Cafe Benoit, Florimond, Willie's Wine Bar and Le Comptoir. They loved all of them and asked me for a new list with similar selections. They enjoy dining and visiting - not terribly interested in 'the see and be seen' atmosphere. Do you all have any favorites (old or new) that I should consider for this trip?
Thanks again for your help.
