A fishy question about Paris

We like L'Espadon Bleu, 25 r de Grand Augustins. It is a Jacques Cagna bistro, directly across the street from his Michelin restaurant. The sea bass is wonderful..and if the gazepacho with mussels and shrimpp is on that night..you'll have a real treat in store@

I can't find my notes about exactly where it is, but I read GREAT things about a restaurant simply called "FISH"...(I really think its in the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7th - what some call "central"

Hi,
Although "Fish la Boissonnerie" is a good wine bar/bistro, it's not a seafood restaurant. They are a good option because they're open on Sundays, and if you're worried about communicating while away, most of the staff speak english. I believe the name "Fish" came from the phrase "drinks like a ..."
Anyway, one restaurant thats been recommended to me is:
Le Divellec

Cl. Sat/Sun
Avg: 70-100euros
I don't know about bass in particular, but they specialize in seafood/fish, and are frequented by many politicos in the neighborhood.
Wherever you decide to go, please tell us about your experience.

I'm grateful PBT that you started this idea. The wine bar will be it for me...it will sate two of my passions for poisson and wine! A good Sancerre ... mmmm...

Goumard, 9 r. Duphot, in the 1st eme, is a Michelin * restaurant that specializes in seafood.. It is open on weekends and we also liked the widely spaced tables and attentive service. Goumard, Maree and Le Divellec are the finest seafood restaurants in Paris. JP

La Maree's address is on rue Daru.
I have also read that La Luna in the 8th is supposed to be one of the better seafood restaurants in Paris, and they have a cheaper "annex" set of restaurants called "Vin et Maree" which are good and very reasonably priced (maybe 30 euro prix fixe). There is one in the 14th on ave du Maine in Montparnasse I am familiar with, but they also have one in the 11th and 14th, I've read.
I also read a Patricia Wells review in IHT that Port Alma at 10, ave de new York is a very good seafood restaurant, and has a great view of the Eiffel Tower to boot. It is supposed to have sea bass as one specialty (the chef is from the SW). Here is one blurb on it (in the middle)

Friends of mine in Paris took me to
Le Petit Nicois
in the rue Cler area. It serves only seafood and I don't remember seeing other than French families dining there.
Excellent seafood.
One of the prize fish that European like is sea bream (can't remember the French name for it).

OAkGlen, I look foward to trying LeDivellec. I read where the chef uses a lobster press. Supposedly, this was Mitterand's favorite restaurant.
