Please Help With My Trip to Greece

I am planning my first trip to Greece in September 2007. I know it's early but I want to make my plans early as to have enough money for the trip.

I will be flying into Athens (using FF miles) and since I have sea and motion sickness, I will need to fly from island to island while in Greece.

I would like to stay in Athens at least 2 days to explore Athens and then perhaps go to Mykonos and Santorini? I would like to stay on an island that has a beach, love to see ancient ruins and nice towns.

For hotels, I am looking for deluxe hotels, air condition, queen to king size bedding, satalite tv, beachfront in Mykonos etc. Hotel Belvedere in Mykonos has gotten mixed reviews on another web-site.

Can you please help me in planning my trip, I want to stay about 12 to 14 days. Thanks for your help

Have you considered any hotels on Santorini? Which village appeals to you? What is your daily budget for a hotel?

Aegean and Olympic Airlines both fly to Santorini and Mykonos. Aegean is cheaper. They both have online booking capability.

Thanks for the reply, no we have not thought of any hotels so far our budget would be about $200 to $250 per day for the hotel (is that realistic? we would want a sea view in Mykosos and Santorini.

I would love to be somewhere close to town or have easy transportation to/from town as not to have to depend on the hotel restaurants.
I wanted to ask the folks on this board first for suggestions as they have stayed at the hotels or know about them from first hand experience.

hi

I've stayed each summer at Rochari Hotel in Mykonos town for a number of years and can recomemnd it.

Fantastic sea views from the hotel's bedrooms (request sea view, not garden view), great service and only a five minute stroll down into town. Rates are reasonable too.

The address is www.rochari.com

Here is a link to a large selection of hotels on Santorini broken down by category and village, a good place to start. The 4 clifftop villages are Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli and Oia. The two main beachfront villages are Perissa and Kamari.
