Please help me find a telephone number for TUIfly, a budget airline, in Germany!

I bought tickets on TUIfly, which is a budget airline in Germany. I received an email from them saying that my flight had been changed from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and did I want to accept the change. I don't want to accept the change, but they gave me no way to tell them that except to call them. All the numbers they gave were for calling them from different European countries. I need a number to reach them from the USA. If anyone can help me with such a number, I will be eternally grateful.

I have tried emailing them twice and the first time got no response and the second time (using a different addres) got an ambiguous response.

I think you're going to have to bite the bullet and call them in Europe. When I've dealt with questions for small European carriers, I look to see if they have a number for the UK so I know I'll get someone who speaks English.

They don't want you to contact them by phone. If you try one the 0900 numbers it'll cost you 0.99€ per minute from Germany. From abroad it'll be difficult to reach. You can try the other numbers.

Hi K,

Their site says that they have English speaking operators.

Did you call their German number:

1016818 Dial around number
011 International call from US
900 1099595 number in Germany

Also try

TUI Airline Management

Phone +49 (0)511 566-2362
Telefax +49 (0)511 566-2353

I think they DO want me to call them, but all the numbers they give are numbers to use FROM different European countries.

IRA -- So, if I use 011, isn't there a needed country code after that before I dial the 1016818? Or what does "dial around" number mean? I'm not familiar with that term. I tried dialing 011 900 1099595 and that didn't work.

>call their German number
Please do post if this actually works and if it's less than 99ct. Can't tell you how much I hate those service numbers.
Thanks!

If it's 99 Euro cents within Germany, it might be a ridiculous rate from outside Germany. At least that's how it worked for us phoning a 0870 London number from Canada. So I'd be very cautious, and consider getting a phone card to limit your liability.

Hi K,

I boobooed.

Logos is correct, you need the country code for Germany.

1016868 reduced charges for int'l calls

011 to get out of US

49 to call Germany

900 1099595 number in Germany

This is a 900 number, so it might not work.

The home office number
1016868 011 49 511 566-2362 might be better.

I am also concerned about the cost of a call to a 900 number. So I used the email address that ira gave and we'll see if I get any response from that one. Thanks to everyone who responded so quickly.

If that doesn't work, I'll try the number for the Management that ira gave above.

I finally tried the number for management that ira gave above. They gave me another number which I called and they connected me to customer service. Finally, I had a real live person to talk to. She quickly took my information, made the cancellation, and credited my credit card for the total amount. Actually I made $5 on the deal -- apparently the dollar got a little stronger from the time I bought the tickets until now! Well, maybe that will pay for the phone calls. I use net2phone for calls the Europe and it is very cheap.

Thanks again to all who helped, especially ira.

Thanks! I'll try this next time, but given my luck, all they'll do is to inform my that they've got an 900 number... I'll try in broken English with identification restriction enabled!
