Ha.. just looked at same dates flying from Vancouver (BC) to Lisbon,, even cheaper then Edmonton or Montreal.. only 972.. bizarre with it being so much further.. but supple and demand I guess.. ( although airlines site fuel costs mostly)

We often fly KLM , it is not the cheapest of airlines.
They are partners with Air France, Delta, Alitalia and some other airlines That helps on certain routes.
