There's a great programme in the uk on BBC3 called "The REal Hustle"

It's an eye opener!

cafegodess you are hilarious. A girl just can't have too many shoes. So anyway today we did go to Chiusi for the car and sure enough they would not rent it to my dh. So our friend did have to drive. Actually my friend and my dh sort of did synchronized driving. She clutched and he gear shifted. She had not driven a manual in 30 years. Them hills sure seemed steep in the rain. We really had to go because after we discovered we had been robbed this very distinguished white haired gentlemen sitting in our car gave us his card and told us to go to this hotel in San Quirico to pick up two bottles of very good wine. So after going to Pienza and San Quirico we did go and he came over to see us at his hotel and did give us some very good wine. We checked his website and he owns a vineyard which has been in the family for centuries and many hotels. He thought our driving solution was hilarious. He was very sweet and gracious and made us feel better. That wine is making me feel better right now.

Micheline..so sorry about what happened. You may already know this, but you if you have a Visa card, they should be able to get a new one to you in a day or two. You can call them at the US number and arrange it. A similar thing happened to me last year in Palermo and Visa delivered a new card to me two days later in Siracusa. Or maybe you can do this when you get home. Hope the rest of your trip is great!
