Thanks, Steve! Pretty disgusting! Terrible for those vendors and for all the residents..hope they resolve it soon, otherwise we will have to hold our noses when we visit early May!

Hi Steve

I was thinking of you this morning, and the amount of invaluable help I've had from you in planning our trip for May. Thanks.

This is awful news. I was beginning to regret that I only have a day and a half, or really, one full day once we get in and get settled, in Naples. Now I'm worried. I thought this would surely be solved by now.

It must be so horrible for the Napolitani. (correct usage? spelling?)

If they don't resolve the problem before the heat of summer arrives, it'll be a place to avoid like the plague - literally - I think
The rats must be having a field day.

Not surprising the hotel industry has taken a hit since this story hit the headlines.

You might be glad you're only there for a day, Tuscan ...

Steve if you think of it, please keep us posted. I am planning two nights in Naples after an Amalfi stay in May and might consider rescheduling if the situation warrants..many thanks!

I'm supposed to be there for three nights in early April and then two nights in mid May. I'm seriously thinking of switching to Ischia for the first three nights.... I was really hoping they'd have resolved this by now!
