Personal Tour Guide in Rome
My husband and I are traveling to Italy in late August. We are landing in Rome at 8:15am on a Sat. morning. We will be traveling with our young children (ages 6,4 and 5 months.) We will also be bringing my niece (19 yrs) and her friend as babysitting help.
My question is, does any know how we can find a personal Tour Guide to help us with a day of sightseeing in Rome.
We are looking to do a few major sites at a slow pace because of the ages of our children.

Contact Stefano of Rome Cabs. He is very helpful and knowledgable about the city, not to mention courteous and professional.

If you want to do a walking tour at your own pace at sites like the Vatican and the forum, try www.wheninrometours.com. They have small groups as well as private tour options.

We used Francesca Caruso from this site. I loved her. She is so personal and a very sweet person. Since I am at work right now I will post her e-mail when I get home. I think her rate is 40-50 dollars an hour. You will not regret using her. Very good with our 23 month old and 8 yer old niece too.
