I've tried to do some research on these online, and the Mas des Carassins seems to be in the right price range and a popular choice. I was unable to find anything for Les Antiques though, is it still around?

Seems that everything else that is recommended is a little too high for our budget - should we reconsider staying in Arles instead? How different are they in size?

I'm not PB, but I was also looking for less expensive properties in St-Remy. Ended up in Arles (at Le Calendal) and was happy with my choice.

I've been obsessed with researching lodging options in St. Remy. I've not been looking at more expensive options, but but I have a great list of places I've contacted and researched on the web. We've concentrated on places with pools since we are going with our teenagers.

Rick Steves groups stay there and their trip reports have good things to say.

I couldn't find more than one on-line review, but the couple thought it was a great find -- cheap, but clean and has a charming terrace. Also has a pool.

Wow -- I'd try L'hotel Sous les figuiers -- that looks lovely. Trust me, you won't need a tv...but with teens the pool is a good idea and this one looks charming.

We spent two nights in St. Remy at Les Jardins de Fontanille. This was a *** with beautiful gardens, large pool, rather new rooms - modern with a small kitchenette, and private patio. We paid 55 E per night which was unbelievable - it was the end of October, and was a bargain. The phone # 0490924242. Fax 0490923924. We did not have a reservation.

I don't know if they now require a weeks stay - but we had no problem staying two nights. The pool is quite beautiful - it would be a great place for a family.

My wife and I have stayed at L'Amandiere in each of the last 11 years and will return in early June.

Rooms are clean, small. Price is moderate, circa 60 euros a night + 8 euros for breakfast. It is served in a nice nook. There is a pool and pretty grounds. It is about a ten minute walk in to town. The proprietors, Christophe and Claudine, are charming, thoughtful folks.

The only drawback to this hotel is a lack of a/c. Last summer Provence (France) broiled. If your travels are not in July or August I would highly recommend this hotel.
