Meeting place and directions

We are taking a tour to the castles and need to meet the tour group at the Neptune Fountain in Elisenstrasse. We are staying at the Renaissance Hotel (frequent hotel points ) and I understand from posts that there is a subway station near the hotel. Would someone be able to advise on how to get from that station to the Neptune Fountain in Elisenstrasse? We have never been to Munich and will be traveling with our family of 7 so I am trying to familiarize myself a little. Also, are there any "favorite, inexpensive" restaurants or beer gardens that you recommend? Many thanks for your assistance!

In what city, please?

For future reference, it is very helpful to put the city/country in your post title, so that those who cannot help you can skip over your post, and those who can will open it!

As to restaurants, we enjoyed the Liebighof im Lehel at 14 Liebigstrasse.

Even so, it is reasonable to inform LikeToTravel of the "rules" (more like etiquette) which Fodors itself has set down - - in http://www.fodors.com/forums/faqs.cfm#Q6 - -

"Finally, create a title - make sure it is concise and clearly describes your message (and destination, if applicable)"

Best wishes,

Rex

And this is not the first time that LikeToTravel has shown confusion about re-posting exactly the same mesasge in a short of interval of time. Not that it is something to get mad about... but I just wonder if there is a problem getting the message about how to find previous posts. Just click on your own name (in the upper lefthand corner, once you have logged in).

From your "other" thread, with this same question:

==================

Message: You want to take the U6 line (the only one there) towards "Klinikum Grosshadern" for 6-7 stations to "Odeonsplatz". Transfer to the U4 or U5 lines, by following the escalators towards the front of the platform. Take either the U4 twd "Westendstrasse" or the U5 twd "Laimer Platz" for one station to "Karlsplatz/Stachus" - (both lines share the same track, so take whichever comes first). At Karlsplatz exit toward the rear of the platform, and the Neptunbrunnen should be in the immediate vicinity right in front of the Jutice Palace (an ornate 19th century building).
