Parma Hotel ??
There's not much recent info. I like to stay in 3-4 star smaller well-located (in historic center) facilities.
Looking at Button, Torino, Savoy.
Anybody have experience, sense of location, etc.?
Thanks

pep, we stayed at the Palace Hotel Maria Luigia last June for 1 night. Nice hotel and the breakfast was American with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage etc.(our children enjoyed the change from the norm).Don't have any experience with the others you mentioned.

All of the 3 are as much in the center as it gets. Personally I would recommend the Savoy, it is newer and thus nicer than the other two...it is also the closest to the station..within walking distance.

We just stayed at the Star Hotel du Parc on NYE. The hotel is the closest to a nice american hotel that we have ever stayed in in Europe. The room had a king size bed and a huge bathroom. Although it isin't in town, it is very well located and only a short walk into town. Parma is not that huge. The hotel is only $108 a night and well worth it. there is also free parking and a nice breakfast.

I enjoyed our stay in a newly renovated palace right in the Duomo square called Palazzo della Rosa Prati (10 apartments only). It'll make a highlight of your visit to stay in a real palace(160 to 180 euros) I prefer it to Star hotel because the Star hotel is isolated & far away from oldtown where the action is.
