Parking - a problem in Selcuk, Goreme hotels?

I'm just at the beginning of planning the Turkish part of our RTW trip. Intend to fly to Izmir (from Australia, after Johannesburg & Frankfurt ) to spend a week to 10 days seeing the sights. We usually self drive, but wonder about parking . Will it be a problem? Have been in Istanbul, and would not want to drive or park there. Thank you.

There is usually no problem in finding parking at any small town in Turkey, as long as your hotel is not on a street which converts into a weekly market on a specific day.

Just a note of advice, prefer Selcuk over Sirince.

I usually recommend self-drive in most areas of Turkey except in the three major cities and Bursa. We may be going to Azerbaijan for the first time this July and are planning to rent a car there also.

Found both Selcuk and Goreme were easy enough to park in. Stay Selcuk, great town - visit Sirince once.

The road to Sirince is narrow with hairpin turns and buses. Parking in Goreme is very easy.

Just returned from 15 days in Turkey last week. We drove 10 of the days and found parking easy everywhere. Sometimes you are approached by a man in a vest asking for 5 TL and he will give you a receipt, even in small towns. Parking is usually free near hotels.

We stayed 2 nights in Selcuk at Hotel Bella which has a wonderful terrace and in a great location, but the room reminded me of a dark cramped dated motel room. If you stay here, make sure to get the more expensive larger balcony room. Sirince was okay, not sure what the hype is all about.
