Olegis,

Thanks for sharing the lovely photos!

mdmomof7,

I was curious about CRW_8253.jpg too and took a short (virtual) walk in Montmartre on Google Maps Streetview. Found it-- 9 rue Norvins. http://www.spottedbylocals.com/paris...and-Love-Notes

Thanks Ira, mdmomof7, Gundy and MademoiselleFifi

mdmomof7 - I almost never ask permission before I photograph, for that very reason that you mentioned - when people are informed that they are photographed, often they start "acting" in front of the camera and the natural beauty and the spontaneity of the moment is gone.

Loved the photos, and thank you for sharing. I know each photo stands by itself, but a caption would help explain some of them, and add another dimension for us lovers of Paris, IMHO.

Olegis, thank you for sharing. That 11th photo looks like the same street(and building) that
Caillebotte painted his famous
Rainy Day in Paris.

Thanks all

nukesafe, you're right - I should add some captures to the photos. Maybe someday I will

Not being critical, Olegis. I know what a pain it is to add captions on my photos. I don't need the damned things; I know where the place is, and have nice memories to prove it.

I always try to add them when I share them with others, though. Otherwise, they see only a lovely building (wonderfully photographed, of course), with no idea where or what it is.

I know, nukesafe
I usually add the captions to my photographs (see for example my Spain gallery - http://www.pbase.com/olegis/spain ), but this time it will take me some time to do that, because of me being busy with two little babies (5 months). Somehow my "photography time" shrunk to very unrecognizable dimensions after they were born

Five month old twins! I'm guessing you've been taking lots of photographs, just not the same kind as the travel photos.

Thanks Olegis, nicely composed pics.

I've been to Paris in fall/winter a few times, and like the different feel that the city has during those times. You've captured some of that.

And some new places had not seen before!

TWINS!!!

My congratulations, and sympathy! My practice wife and I were so blessed/afflicted almost 40 years ago, and I am stunned that you have time to breathe, much less add captions.
