Paris: What can we do with our luggage?

Our hotel check-out is at noon, but our flight doesn't leave until 8:15 pm. (Not good planning on my husband's part.)

What are we supposed to do with our luggage until it's time to go to the airport? I'm sure we're not the only ones who have come across this issue...any suggestions?

I ask my hotel to keep my luggage.

I do this all the time in Europe as well as in the U.S. and other places.

The hotels are very used to doing this.

Do I presume you usually rent a car and keep the luggage in your car?

I would be very surprised if your hotel refused to hold onto your luggage while you had a last look around Paris.
Every single hotel I have stayed at is only too happy to oblige.

Ditto the above responses..the hotel will usually store luggage for you without question.

It was NOT bad planning. You are getting an extra 6 hrs in Paris. Thank your DH.

It's the same as any city in that regard, most hotels everywhere keep luggage for you from check-out until you need it.

If you are taking the RER to the airport and don't want to backtrack to your hotel, there are lockers at Gare du Nord.
