Paris Walks Tour
I have to be in Beaune next Monday for a business meeting and will be spending the weekend in Paris. I thought I would try something different on this trip. Has anyone ever taken the 'Old Les Halles Market' or the 'Medieval Paris' tour? If so, was it worth it?

Strange... I've called a couple of days before and they were always able to tell me.
Oh well, I went on one today with a guide who isn't my favorite and I still thought it was excellent. Well worth the time and 10 euros.
Actually, I may go on the Medieval Paris walk myself on Saturday night if the weather is okay. If you're up for chatting, I'll be the 30ish short blonde girl with the colorful purse.
Either way, have fun and please let us know how the tours were!

When I was in Paris this past May my friend Louisa and I did the French revolution walking tour with Classic Walks (12 Euros). On another day I went on a tour in the Montmartre area with Paris Walks (10 Euros). I enjoyed both of them. Next time I'm in Paris I definitely want to do a tour in the Marais.

So far I've done the Marais 1 and 2, the Hemingway walk, Saint Germain-des-Pres, Montmartre and the chocolate tour.
My favorites were Marais 1, Hemingway, Montmartre and the chocolate tour, but I think it was partially because of the guides (Oriel, Chris and Iris are just excellent guides).
I've heard not-so-great things about the Pere Lachaise Cemetery tour (again because of a guide problem), but otherwise all of their tours are well worth the 10 euros and 2 hours. And I've read 3 books from their recommendations!

We did two walking tours - both with Chris as it happened - in Paris earlier this year and both were great. Chris is excellent.
We did a Marais walk and also a Montmartre walk. We didn't realise but there are 2 Marais walks so next time we will try and do the other one.

I did the Marais 1 Walk with Chris this past June. He was wonderful -- amusing, enthusiastic, and engaging. I have been to Paris many times, but liked the idea of an in-depth visit to one area with someone who knew it well. I would have done a few more walks if I had had the time, Will definitely try to do at least one area each time I visit.
