Paris Restaurants-gift certificates available?
I would like to buy a gift certificate for a restaurant in Paris as a Christmas gift for a family of five, including 14,12, and 10 year old kids, who are heading over there this winter. I am considering Fontaine du Mars, Chez Rene , Rotisserie du Beuajolais or any other similar type places. Other than calling them directly, does any one know how I can find out if gift certificates are avavilable. None of the websites I have looked at mention gift certificates. Thanks for any guidance you can offer me.

I have never heard of this. I checked a couple of web sites.
One item I found was under the Freres Blanc restaurant group. The have a dinner+show combo, good for 1 year.

It might be easier to get a nice invitation card and include some euros.
I like your choices, both CR and RdB are ones I liked.

You can pre-purchase meals at Le Boeuf sur le Toit and La Coupole through Expedia Activities. (I have never been to either of these.)
They also list the Hard Rock Cafe. The kids might like that.
Otherwise, maybe you could print out the menu/directions of your choice and include it with some euros like Michel_Paris mentioned.

There's a Paris Group-on that I subscribe to, but you're limited to what they offer you each day.
I would just call the restaurants and ask how they might work this out for you.
Bofinger is a nice experience, but it's not a small place.

I am trying to email Tour d'Argent since they own Rotisserie du Beaujolais.
I'll check out your first two suggestions suggestions Lynnaustin but Hard Rock would not work at all as I'm( and they) are looking for a Parisian experience for their kids. The Flo group does offer many possibilities Michel_Paris but I prefer a small place. Are any of the Flo group small and traditional? StCirq, you're right, I'll most likely have to call. I don't speak French so may have a friend do it for me.. Thanks to all for your help.

Here is what I would do. As you are doing now, pikc out the restaurant. Phone ahead of time to make the reservation for the group. Do not tell them. Put a card in the luggage with a 'do not open till Dec XX at breakfast'. Put in all the gooey love you's and some cash, and a nice print out of the menu + directions for the restaurant.
I've eaten at the Petit Zinc, good seagood. La Jacobine, Left Bank, really small, duck was on menu. Chez Clement is probably too large. You could splurge and do Eiffel Tower, or L'Homme. Ciel de Paris (Montparnasse) would give them great views of Paris. Chez Heni-Moulins a Vent is a small Left Bank restaurant I liked. Le Train Blue often gets recommended here for its decor. There are a couple of quite nice ones on Ile St Louis...Tastevin and Ilot Vache...followed by a Berthillon glace.
