Joan,

It has been a joy to visit Paris daily in the mornings when I log in from the office. My family and I will be headed there on the 17th for Christmas and in a strange way will miss that you will not be there. Thanks to your input, we have reserved with Paris Perfect and have made our plans for our Christmas Eve Dinner.

I hope to one day coincide with you in Paris and have the pleasure of meeting you. Until then, I wish you a safe trip home, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thanks to all for participating in this thread. It is fun to do, because of all your input.

liktotravel,

We will look for your report on your apartment experience and for your area dining..especially Chistmas Eve at Au Bon Accueil.

May go to Le Meurice Bar 228 mid afternoon for light dining and take the 42 bus home, stopping along Montaigne for some sightseeing and picture taking when dark..that is by 5:30!Can hop back on the bus for short trip across the Seine and 'home'.

Sounds like a fitting end to a great trip!!

a bientot...

Joan

As always, thank you for taking us with you to Paris! Great job with the pics and daily updates!

With the amount of time you spend in Paris, I am sure we will get together again on a future trip. I am shooting for next fall.

Have a safe flight!

Joan, Count me in as one of your many fans who wants to say Merci for taking the time to share your pictures and your experiences. It was wonderful to come along with you in a way and experience Paris through your eyes.

Have a safe trip home and we will see you again in January (metaphorically, of course!

Joan, Madelyn and I had a great time at Violon d'Ingres! The views from Joan's apt. are nothing short of spectacular.

My friends and I went on the ferris wheel last night at Concorde. Perfect timing, too, as the Tower was all ablaze during our ride.

Took off right on time this afternoon from CDG and landed in Chicago 40 minutes early. Thanks to Global Entry I was thru immigration and in my car 1/2 hour later.

Stayed at the Sainte-Beuve this trip. Absolutely wonderful.

I'm thinking that at any minute she is going to post "I have just arrived home and slit my wrists" or "I have just arrived home and booked my next trip on the internet."

Probably the second option.

I did just arrive home..not a fun trip. The flight to ATL was OK, but ATL was fogged in and all kinds of cancellations. My original one was cancelled and was almost doubtful that I would get home tonight at all.

I'm pooped..going to bed..pick up cats at 10 in morning.

Kerouac: I had been looking at air fares before I left Paris.............

a bientot...

Glad you're home safe and sound...sorry it was a rough trip.
Have a good nights sleep and dream of your next trip to Paris. I think I'm looking forward to your next trip almost as much as you are...your reports are terrific! Sweet dreams.
