Paris lunch at Hotel Raphael
We will be in Paris early October with friends and are interested in having a "splurge" lunch. A friend recommended the terrace restaurant at the Hotel Raphael. I haven't been able to find many reviews of the restaurant.
Has anyone been there and, if so, would you recommend it?

It's a fine hotel, but that restaurant is fairly new. That chain has not had good luck with it's various in-house restaurants. There are dozens of superb places that are walkable; many of the Michelin starred restaurants offer special prix-fixe menus at lunch. What are your preferences?

We are staying in the Marais and walkable is not necessary. We have eaten at Taillevent, Grand Vefour, Plaza Athenee and others and are looking for something more casual, preferably in a lovely setting with good food.

Tuscankifeedit : A few months ago, I had Japanese breakfast at Le Cinq (Four Seasons George V) and it was really good. I prefer having Japanese breakfast as I then get grilled salmon, rice, tofu, Japanese omelette, miso soup, and a few other things. The friend with me also had Japanese breakfast.
I ate Japanese breakfast for years while staying at the Four Seasons Bangkok. By eating that type of breakfast, I don't have to stop in the middle of the day for lunch. I think only the Four Seasons offers Japanese breakfast. Although it was really good at Le Cinq, it's better at the Four Seasons in Bangkok and about the equivalent of $18.00 when I was having it. Le Cinq was 49 Euros. But, I'll probably do it again next year if I can get up earlier enough to take the bus from my rented apartment in the 6th, all the way across town. LOL! Happy Travels!
