Paris Internet cafe in 7th

We will be staying in the 7th arrondissment (very close to border of 6th) near the d'Orsay. I'm having a heck of a time finding a listing for an internet cafe (or other place to get online) nearby.

Can anyone provide suggestions?

Thank you.

That isn't really a very good area for finding internet cafes, which aren't as common as they used to be anyway. I can tell you where I used one just last summer which isn't terribly far away, but not really close. I stay in Montparnasse often, and there is one on rue Odessa run by Cybercube, which isn't too far from the Edgar Quinet metro stop. They also have one in the 6th near Odeon metro:

The other ones I know are farther away from where you are.

www.pagesjaunes.fr lists two cybercafés in the 7th, and one in the 6th:
West Side Cyber World
20 r Exposition 75007

Café Ambassades
95 r Grenelle 75007

Cyber Cube
5 r Mignon 75006

The yellow pages claims there is one at 95, rue Grenelle in the 7th. It's a cafe named Les Ambassades, but it is listed as having some computers as a cybercafe. The photo of it just looks like a regular cafe, but it's worth a try.

I think the Post Office on the corner of the rue Cler and Avenue de la Motte-Picquet is one of those now equipped with free internet access.

The Cyber Cube is good - very inexpensive and long opening hours.

I think the one on rue Grenelle is one we went to a couple of times. The coffee was good.

I have used the one on rue de l'Exposition and found an advertisement leaflet for it. Mind you, this is 3-4 years old, so prices & hours may have changed, but for what it's worth...

Open 7 days a week
Mon - Sat 12h00 to 22h00
Sun & holidays - 12h00 to 20h00

10 min 1.60€
15 min 2.40€
30 min 4.60€
1 hr 7.00€
5 hrs 30.00€
10 hrs 45.00€
20 hrs 75.00€

(don't know if those are still good)

But have you asked your hotel, if you're staying in one? Many now offer internet access for a nominal fee.

Hope this is helpful to you and/or someone else.

Thanks all.

Betty - we are staying in an apartment. It has wireless access, but I don't think we'll be lugging our laptop.

The postal office may have an internet connection but I doubt that it's free. In Bayeux we had to purchase a special card at the post office to use the internet.

I always use the computers at Fat Tire Bike Tours office. They are located at 24 rue Edgar Faure in the 7th. Here is the link to their services. http://www.fattirebiketoursparis.com...t-office.shtml

They are Americans and the rates are extremely reasonable. If I remember correctly it was 1 euro for 15 minutes or so(?). Don't quote me on that, but I do remember it being "silly cheap" compared to other places I have gone to in both Italy and France.
