Paris Hotel ?!?!?!?

We are traveling to France for a friend's wedding in the Loire Valley and then heading up to Paris for 4 nights in October. We will have our 2yr old daughter with us for the trip. I am trying to decide on a hotel/location for our Paris stay. We like to be close enough to restaurants, shopping, parks, etc. and I like quaint more B&B type hotels that have lots of charm. The hotels that I am trying to decide between are:

Best Price/Value: (130 euro)
Hotel Eiffel Park - Champs de Mars residential area
http://www.eiffelpark.com/
Is this going to be too far from everything??

Hotel du Pantheon: (185 euro)
http://www.hoteldupantheon.com/
A little cuter and more centrally located - Luxembourg Gardens and the Sorbonne

Hotel Madeleine Plaza (200 euro)
Palace de la Madeleine, a short walk from the Opéra, the Parisian department stores, place de la Concorde, place Vendôme and the Champs Elysées.
Very cute and quaint

I have been to Paris once before about 15 years ago when I was in college and we were on a TIGHT budget then, now I can splurge a little bit more and life is different with a 2 yr old in tow!

Thanks in advance!!!

(sorry this is a duplicate message but couldn't figure out how to change my title )

Hi

Have you checked out the reviews for these hotels on http://www.tripadvisor.com ?

I went to Paris last year with my wife. Here is my trip report with pictures and links: http://gardkarlsen.com/Paris_France.htm . Maybe you can find some useful info there. Get in touch if you have any questions or comments.

Regards

Hi IU,

Have you considered the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th. From 128E dbl w/bkfst. It is located near 3 metro stops. Has AC and an elevator.

If you get a large dbl, you can easily add a crib.

For more info, enter "Hotel Bonaparte" in the "search this forum" box.

I stayed at the Eiffel Park for a week and a half last year and it was just fine. Very convenient to several bus routes and a metro station. (I happen to prefer the 7th in every way.) I especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace, where you can have your breakfast in the nice weather. I wouldn't call it "quaint", but the room was very comfortable and housekeeping was meticulous.

The Hotel du Pantheon also owns the Hotel Residence Henri IV, in the same area. I've stayed in the Henri IV twice, and like the way it's run. It's quaint and nice, the staff recognizes you when you walk in the door since it's so small. You may want to check out the larger rooms at the Henri IV, where there's a couch/bed in the living area for your daughter. The other huge plus is a kitchenette, so you can have a fridge for daughter's needs and have breakfast in your room from nearby bakery and delicious French yogurts, etc.
The area has lots of restaurants, a lovely market twice a week. Eat at the Fetes Galantes for a very reasonably priced meal that is delicious, though with a 2 yr old I'd go for lunch.

I haven't looked up reviews, but think those are all great choices, so I think it jut gets down to what appeals to you most, and the evaluation of the savings. I personally would choose the Pantheon because I like that area better than around the Eiffel Tower and think it might be nice to be near Lux. Gardens with your child. The one near the Madeleine sounds good for adults into shopping and right-bank type of people, though. I just am more comfortable on the Left Bank, usually, and don't care to be near dept. stores in particular as I don't shop much. But they all look pretty good.

Thanks everyone!!!

What is the difference between the right bank and the left bank?

---
I think the Hotel Residence Henri IV is all booked for our stay, I did look into it as it seemed to be a great option for us with our daughter and the right price

---
All of the reviews on the hotels seem to be fairly good (an 8.0 or better) so I think any of them would be good, just wanted to know the +/- of the areas etc and was it worth the savings to go over by the Eiffel for the savings.

If anyone has any more thoughts or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!! It is nerve wracking trying to sort through all the options in such a wonderful city!!

I stayed at the Eiffel Park for the savings.

No matter where you stay, you'll want to go all over. "Centrally located" depends on where you plan to go while there.

The 7th is one of the more residential neighborhoods, chock full of cafes, moderately priced restaurants with good food. Within a short walk of the Eiffel Park is everything you could possibly need.

I wouldn't worry about the difference between the Right Bank and the Left Bank, as neighborhoods vary enormously on either bank.
