Oh good, I had been thinking of Le Gaigne because it's close to the apartment I've rented. I'd seen a good review on chowhound (or egullet?) and another Fodorite liked it as well. So happy you guys enjoyed it because I will definitely try it, if not for dinner then for lunch.

Thanks for everyone's comments. And to say that I'm jealous of those of you that have upcoming trips, is an understatement (hey, even a trip next March is still a trip to Paris within the next year!) Wish we could have eaten at Cafe Constant and L'Ami Jean. Next time! Hopefully it won't take us another 10 years!

Mariarosa,
Thanks for the glowing comments on La Gaigne. I'm going there this Thursday night---saw the CN article after maing reservations so it got me more excited about it (Alexander Lobrano had written a very positive review). L'Ami Jean is for our final night so I'll post about both as well as others.

Thanks for the report. We liked Le Gaigne in February.
And reading the comments here reminded me (as if I forget) of the fabulous sweet potato puree at L'Ami Jean. It's complimentary, so don't hesitate to throw your spoon in. Might have been my favorite dish of this past trip.
