Paris budget accomodations
My husband and I are travelling with our 12 year old son to France in March and will be staying in Paris for 2 nights. We are looking for accomodations around 100E per night any recommendations?

Hotel St. Andre des Arts; 6eme...a triple was about 75E's ... in 2002.
Included breakfast. A bit ragged around the edges, but for me, clean enough, nice sized bath. GREAT location. The building was built in the 15th Century (I think) AND used to house Musketeers... real ones. Wouldn't the 12 year old like that??

The Hôtel de France in the 7th on the avenue de la Tour Maubourg has double rooms beginning at about 75€ (last year's prices - haven't checked to see if they've gone up). The old website for the hotel (www.hotel-de-france.com) no longer seems to be working, but you can easily google it. Read up on it at Trip Advisor. I love this place.

I think Hotel de France (Invalides) just uses the Parishotels.com for bookings now...

We stayed at Timhotel Montmartre for 2 days in June, and would recommend it. The rooms are small (as you'd expect) but it was a very nice location- walking distance to Sacre Couer, and on a cute little square (Place Emilie Gendreau). Also, it was easy walking distance to the metro.
We got a rate on Expedia.com of about $90 per night, I believe.
Enjoy!

A tripple is 89 Euros.
A nice place, quiet, with good staff, and the location is excellent.

Hands down this is the best price and location:
Hotel Grand des Balcons. I've stayed in
many hotels in the St. Germain area
and this is the best. Big American
breakfasts too! Bon chance!

I can also vouch for Hotel De France, a great little hotel, clean, quiet, and friendly staff, also love the 7th. This link will take you to their website.

I've stayed at Hotel Montpensier numerous times (on a budget):

It's great - and only about 400 metres to the Louvre! Excellent location. Great hotel.
Cheers,
Crissy
