You can add my voice to the chorus of Thierry fans. We stayed in the studio on Rue du Rivoi, and we couldn't have been more pleased.
As others have mentioned, he's very responsive. On top of that, he did not require a large deposit when we booked the apartment. Rather, we sent him a check in our own currency which he held until we checked out.

We were most pleased with the apt we rented last month from Vacation in Paris. First off, their service is great, you can pay by credit card in US dollars and collect your FF miles, they send you a pdf file with all sorts of info. We were in apt #122 on rue St Andre des Arts , just a few steps from Pl. St Michel, with great transportation options. There is a bakery a few doors away, numerous restaurants , some great some good in a few block area.
The apt had nice living dining area, a good sized loft bedroom, and a bath and a half, so no climbing up to the loft when you just wanted to potty! Free WiFi, a washer, rack and iron and ironing board. I prefer to use the laundromat on rue de Seine as French washers take forever. I can put the stuff in to wash and go across the street to Paul to have breakfast, put the stuff in the dryer while we wander through the market stalls for 20 minutes while the stuff dries.
One of the best things about VIP, they send you the keys to the apt before you leave so no waiting around for someone to let you in. It was a real blessing for us since our train from Antwerp was delayed 3 hours in Brussels because of some kind of disturbance further along the line

Hi Everyone out there in cyberspace.
Keep the suggestions coming. (Most of what has been posted so far is fantastic but unavailable for the time I need.) I'm visiting Paris for a month in February (2nd to the 2nd of march) and am looking for a centrally located well priced apartment. Preferably to sleep 4. Our budget is 2000E maximum. (less if possible)

Photobear,
We found a lovely place through VRBO and had a wonderful stay there two weeks ago. (VRBO #56871). A spacious (by Parisian standards) 1 bedroom had a great kitchen, nice sitting area and dining table, comfortable (through low) bed and a fantastic shower.
Located in the 6th just two blocks from the Odeon metro and three from the river, the apartment was warm and welcoming after a day out seeing the sights. We ate breakfast and a few dinners at the apartment and found the kitchen to be very well stocked. (And we became addicted to the Nespresso machine.)
The only drawback to the apartment was the toilet, which was not with the rest of the bathroom but in a tiny closet just off the living room. It made for a bit of a trek in the middle of the night and a bit weird otherwise. But a small price to pay for an otherwise very nice apartment.
The owner was a dream to work with; we were allowed to bring a personal check as a deposit with us to the apartment. Her son met us at the apartment upon arrival, showed us how to use everything, answered all our questions about what was where in the neighborhood, etc. And then he stopped by the day before we left to return the deposit check.
We loved having an internet connection and a washer/dryer, which allowed us to bring minimal clothes and carry on our luggage.
Would definitely stay there again.
