Palazzo del Capitano - Gemini or Taurus

We have been offered either of these two standard rooms at Palazzo del Capitano. Gemini is on the second floor and Taurus is on the first floor. Has anyone stayed in either or can recommend one or the other. I prefer the second floor but that room, Gemini, looks a bit dark in the photos. Thanks!

Hi rbn,

I have stayed in the Gemini room and though I like this hotel, I didn't care for the room. It wasn't dark, but the bath was up a flight of stairs, and the room itself was a bit small due to its odd shape. Are these the only two rooms available???

Oh great. I just emailed that I chose the Gemini. Those are the only two standard rooms offered. They also have suites available, but we don't want to pay the price for those. Maybe I will email and ask for the Taurus room.
Thanks! Oh, wait, I think the Taurus bathroom is up a flight of stairs also. Oy.

Hi rbn,

I didn't know the Taurus room so I looked at the photos...you made the better choice. The Gemini has only a few stairs to the bath. The hotel is lovely and I know you will enjoy it...and the Gemini overlooks their pretty garden. If these were the only rooms, I'd choose Gemini again just to stay there.
