Paddington to Kensington
What is the best/easiest way to get from the train station to Harrington Hall Hotel? We will be landing at Heathrow on British Air from Denver & have a rail pass to get to Paddington. Is it difficult to find our way to the train at the airport? Would a cab from Paddington be easier since we will have 2 suitcases & 2 carryons? We just put our deposits down on our trip-leaving mid April for a week in London, a 26 day Globus tour & then a final week going back to Glasgow & on to the Kintyre Pen. & wahtever strikes our fancy after that.

Unless you are scrimping on every penny, a cab seems not excessive, but smart. The initial demi-luxury of being deposited immediately at your hotel without the misery of fiddling with luggage, trying to figure out where to go, which line in which direction (if a tube trip), etc etc etc --well, just pop out to the taxi stand, and get in. Go to the hotel. End of story.
I would not hesitate a moment to take the cab. If it is embarassingly close, the cabbie will tell you and won't take you (fare won't be worth it). He/she would point you in the right direction, and you could do the short walk, which is not a bad way to get over jet lag.
