Overnight stay in Frankfurt

I have an overnight layover in Frankfurt in October. Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice, safe place to stay? I'm travelling alone so probably the nicer the better. I'm hoping not to spend more than $100 USD.
Cheers!

Right near the main station, which is easily reached in about ten minutes from the airport, is the three-star Hotel Kaiserhof.

Singles start at around $US55.

Check it out at>

Just note that the area around the train station is a bit on the seedy side...

To stay in Frankfurt proper, you'll have to take the S-bahn east into town or taxi. I would take it west instead and head for Mainz, a more pleasant place to settle in. The Hof Ehrenfels is a less expensive hotel right in the middle of the cobblestoned, pedestrians-only old town area near the cathedral. The inexpensive Hotel Ibis is a few blocks south of the Cathedral, near Main's city park and the Mainz Sud train station (the station closest to central Mainz; the main, or Hbf station, is further out.)
