Out with the Old - In with the New

I know this is a REALLY dumb question but, as a contributor for two years now, can some one tell me how to clear the old posts? I have some going back to 1998 and I cant find a way of clearing them. Is it possible to keep, say, the last 12 months? Cheers Pawsha

Once you've posted something here, it's here for keeps unless the editors want to remove it for some reason. I too am unsure what you mean by "clear them". They aren't in your way or something are they?

Exactly - why do you want to "clear" old posts. Just don;t go an look at them. And others may want to look at them.

It's not like they're clogging up your computer or anything - so why try to get rid of them?

Someone may have an old post ear-marked for future references. I have dozens marked that go way back.

Thanks for your replies. Sorry to be so long in getting back but, you know Christmas etc.
When I open up Fodor's site, the first posts I get go back to 1998. They cant still be relevant. Does this happen to everyone or is there some way to eliminate some of them? Cheers Pawsha

Strange. When I come to this site, it lists the posts from newest to oldest, so I would never see an old post unless I was doing a search and pulled one up. So when you come here, the first post is not dated today?

Seems strange. When I come to the site the posts with the most recent replies are in the 1. spot on each forum (US, Europe, etc.).

I'm only guessing here.

How do you first get to fodors? Do you have a 'favorites' link on your internet explorer list? It may be that you have bookmarked a 1998 post that you keep pulling up every time you click that old link.

If that is the case, you should save a new 'favorite' or 'bookmark' with the link to the Europe forum.
