Ann, don't get her started on the Atkins diet!

BillT in Budapest we found Ruszwurm http://www.ruszwurm.hu/ (go inside, much nicer than on the pavement) had very good tokaji and torte and at a reasonable price given its position, we also did the segway tour of town which gave a good overview before going off to the spas

Tip: If you are discarding clothes, pitch them in a clean trash receptacle. It saves the hotel staff from chasing after you when checking out or saving the items and contacting you what you want done with what you "forgot."

Personally I find laundry time a nice break and I can't imagine being so go-go that there is no time for this. Doesn't everything look the same if you see one thing after another dawn till bedtime?

When sightseeing you will come across markets or food stands that sell coke. I think it's foolish to carry this in luggage.

Agree to be very clear about what you are leading behind. We had a maid bring us when checking out of a hotel in Copenhagen. We had an umbrella that died (inside out) the previous day and had left it in the trash can. She was actually running to give it to us as we left the hotel.

Thanks for the tips on leaving stuff behind. And the other tips on what to visit. Now on to the "coke" comment. If saving money is foolish then call me foolish! . Look we have the room in the luggage going over (we have been doing this for 15 years). The first night in from the long flight we want a coke and one may not be in a position to go looking for a local market! We also bring snacks along as we have found that in the evening we want something to munch on and there ain't no 7 Eleven down the block. Don't miss-interpret, we eat our meals out and like the local restaurants, but we have found that for us this works out really well.
