Bailey,
We have rented two apartments from www.rothray.com, and I can tell you they are absolutely gems to work with, totally reliable, helpful, great! Properties are excellent. Read Sandra Gustafson's review in Great Sleeps in Paris. Contact Ray Lampard by e-mail or phone. He is wonderful. Several properties in Marais and nearby areas.

Thank you all for taking the time to give your input. I haven't made a decision yet, but I'll take it all into account. I'm currently comparing this apartment to other apartments from other agencies and I haven't ruled out hotels.

To reply to some of your questions:

Christina - that is the case, Air France doesn't have any flights on some days of the week. We couldn't make it work with our schedule

We don't plan on spending a lot of time in our room, so having a sitting area isn't a top priority. But, having a kitchen would be nice so that we could store food for our breakfasts, snacks, and packed lunches.

Also, this apartment has 2 single beds that can be put together for a king bed. We'll have them leave the beds apart for us.

MAP - those apartments look very nice, thank you for the suggestion. From looking at their website, it looks like they require a week's stay. I've found that with a lot of rental companies.

I meant to add - Are there any other apartment suggestions out there allowing only 5 nights stay?

Bailey,
Ray Lampard is such a fine fellow that if you e-mailed him, he might have something for just 5 days. I don't know how strict his policies are, but I know you would be happy with his studios if you are lucky enough to land one. He is also British, so communication is easy.

I agree that it is sometimes possible to rent an apt. for less than the stated minimum number of days, especially in an off peak season. It doens't hurt to ask if you are interested in a particular apt. or rental agency.

bailey,
I spoke to the man who owns this apt. a few months ago. He is from the US and sounds very nice. I did not rent the place because of the dates not working out but while renting another place nearby walked by and saw the Street. Very convient area and I loved the Marais.
