Opera in Verona

I'm going to Verona in July and was wondering if anyone could say which opera would be best to see at the roman arena : Aida, Tosca or Carmen?
Also what is the dress code in the seated area. Would a linen suit be too casual? Would shirtsleeves be frowned upon?
Would the back of the floor area be better or worse than the numbered seats on the Arena terraces?
Thanks all for your advice.

Definitely not Tosca, which is not at all suited for the arena. Aida or Carmen, that's a matter of casts IMO.
Sorry, can't help with your other questions (I'm always buying cheap tickets, on the steps).

Are you set on the cheap seats, too, now? Anyway, enjoy the performance!

When seated on the steps of the arena I just wore whatever I was wearing that day...
I saw Carmen and it was beautiful
